About us

Crooked Cat Publishing is an independent UK-based publisher run by husband and wife team, Laurence and Steph Patterson. With years of experience in writing, manuscript editing, reviewing and critiquing, business marketing, and a number of publications in the fields of romantic fiction and academia between us, we aim to provide talented authors with a home to share their stories. 

We are delighted to have enlisted the assistance of four freelance editors who help us bring out the best in our books.

Crooked Cat distributes ebooks to Amazon, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Sony, Apple. Ebooks are issued in several formats, including PDF, mobi, epub. Titles are also available to purchase and download in three different formats at Crooked Cat Books, where readers can browse, buy ebooks, garner reward points and leave reviews.

Crooked Cat also releases books in paperback through Print on Demand, exclusively on Amazon.

Crooked Cat welcomes writing of a high quality, with exceptional storylines and interesting characters. Manuscripts should be completed and edited.

Authors receive:

• full manuscript editing and dedicated one-to-one editor access
• front cover artwork
• end of quarter release of royalties
• electronic publication, including ISBN provision

Crooked Cat does not charge authors for any services and will not distribute authors’ details to third parties without authors’ permissions, unless required by law.
